CALC appoints CRO

As the Hong Kong lessor’s risk chief, Yu will tailor and streamline a risk management framework for CALC, analysing all risk-related issues so as to manage inherent risks in its business activities.
CALC CEO, Mike Poon, said it was a “great honor” to welcome Yu back to the senior management team and he hoped this would help achieve CALC’s “strategic goals and reinforcing its leading position in the industry”.
Safran Aircraft Engines selects sales and marketing leader
Safran Aircraft Engines has named Philippe Couteaux, 54, senior vice-president of sales and marketing, replacing Gaël Méheust who was announced as president and CEO of CFM International on February 1.
Couteaux started his career with Safran in 1987 as an engineer. In his last position, he served as head of support and services at Safran Nacelles, while at the same time acting as vice-resident for strategy and development.
Sabre Airline Solutions president to retire
Sabre Airline Solutions president and executive vice-president, Hugh Jones, will retire on August 1.
Jones has been credited with more than doubling Sabre’s airline solutions division since he took the job in 2011.
“Hugh has made numerous contributions to Sabre during his 29-year career in the travel business and we owe a great deal of our success at Airline Solutions to his leadership. I appreciate his working with us on a smooth transition as we conduct a search for his replacement,” said Sabre president and CEO, Sean Menke.
