At the same time, Shenzhen Airlines, an Air China subsidiary, said it would spend US$3.48 billion on 40 Airbus aircraft. Last month, China Eastern Airlines became the first Mainland carrier to take delivery of an A320 equipped with fuel-saving wing tip sharklets, after assembly and delivery at the Airbus’ Tianjin Final Assembly Line facility.
