Mainland China’s homegrown regional airplane, the ARJ 21, continues to experience delays to its commercial carrier launch. Read More »

At the fifth annual China Commercial Aircraft Convention (COMAC) last month, the China region general manager of UTC Aerospace Systems, Hou Xiaofan, said the jet is continuing its testing to comply with standards set by global aviation authorities.

He forecast the jet would be flying with its customers towards the end of next year. UTC Aerospace, which has a workforce of 40,000, is a systems provider to the ARJ 21, as well as the mid-sized C919 and the AVIC XAC MA60 programmes.
