Amadeus names new regional vice president

Amadeus on Tuesday announced that Joost Schuring is the company’s new vice-president of EMEA, effective immediately. Read More » Schuring will lead Amadeus’ Travel Channels business in the EMEA and oversee several Amadeus acquired companies, including Traveltainment, Pyton and Hiberus.

Schuring is a 16-year Amadeus veteran, Schuring has held various commercial and leadership positions in e-commerce and account management at the group before he was appointed director of airline distribution sales, his most recent role.

“Joost brings a deep understanding of the travel industry and great expertise in managing regions,” said Decius Valmorbida, recently appointed senior vice-president, Travel Channels, Amadeus. “I am more than confident that Joost will bring tremendous value and energy to the region and will continue to drive the business forward.”


CALC appoints procurement vice president

China Aircraft Leasing Group (CALC) has announced Sean Farnan as vice-president of its procurement division.

Before he joined CALC, Farnan worked for British Airways (BA) for 20 years where he developed expertise in evaluating, selecting, acquiring and developing commercial aircraft. He played a key role in new aircraft orders that exceeded US$37 billion at list prices while at BA.
