Amedeo takes minority stake in Intrepid

The owners of Irish lessor Intrepid Aviation, Centerbridge Partners and Reservoir Capital Group, will take up equity in wide body lessor Amedeo Capital, which will in turn acquire a minority shareholding in Intrepid, resulting in “a strategic partnership” between the leasing specialists. Read More » Under the agreement, Intrepid will continue to operate from Ireland, but will be rebranded.

Intrepid CEO, Doug Winter, will become Amedeo vice-chairman and Intrepid CFO and Mike Lungariello Amedeo’s finance chief.

Amedeo is one of the largest widebody aircraft asset managers, with aviation assets under its management that exceed US$8 billion, including two publicly listed vehicles on the London Stock Exchange.

Both companies will benefit from increased scale, synergies and talent that exist between the two platforms, and enhanced expertise in developing access to permanent capital investment channels.
