Boeing names new China sales boss

Former president and CEO of China Minsheng Investment Group Aviation, Peter Gao, is Boeing’s new vice president of commercial sales and marketing for China, effective from last month. Read More » Gao will concentrate solely on commercial aircraft and services sales in China, with Korea and Japan sales to be conducted separately.

Before joining Minsheng, Gao was a founding member of lessor, Bank of Communications Financial. He worked in Ireland as the lessor’s deputy general manager-aviation and CEO of the Dublin office. Gao’s industry background “will build on our long-standing partnerships by continuing to find better ways to support their fleet and operational requirements”, said Boeing senior vice president commercial sales and marketing, Ihssane Mounir, in a FlightGlobal report this week.

A 1998 graduate of the faculty of information, science and technology at Shanghai’s Fudan University, Gao later attended the University of Melbourne where he earned a master’s degree in finance in 2006-2007. He is based in Beijing.
