China Southern Airlines predicts lowest annual losses of “Big Three” carriers

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has forecast a net loss for calendar 2020 of 7.9 billion-10.9 billion yuan (US$1.2 billion to $1.7 billion), down from net profit of 2.7 billion in the same months in 2019. Read More » The company told the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong the willingness of passengers to travel dropped sharply last year due to COVID-19. "In 2020, the passenger capacity and revenue passenger kilometres of the company decreased by 37.59% and 46.15%, respectively, compared with the same period last year," CSA said.
