Mainland China carrier, Spring Airlines, has ordered 30 more A320s, valued at US$2.75 billion, with the low-cost carrier expected to receive the single aisle aircraft from 2015. Read More » Shanghai-based Spring Airlines told Bloomberg it had intended to build a fleet of 100 airliners by 2015, but that target had been pushed out to the end of the decade because of government delays in approving jet purchases.
“Within the last 12 months we have seen many signs that obstacles we currently face will disappear,” Spring’s deputy general manager for strategy, Jonathan Hunt, told Bloomberg.
