Philippine Airlines cancels scores of flights to fight nation’s fresh COVID-19 outbreak

Philippine Airlines (PAL) yesterday announced an initial batch of flight cancellations in response to the government's closure of international borders to foreign visitors and a month-long incoming passenger arrivals cap of 1500 a day to fight a trend in new COVID-19 cases. Read More » PAL’s revised schedule, from March 21 to March 31, reports flight cancellations to Los Angeles, Tokyo Haneda,Tokyo Narita, Nagoya, Osaka, Bangkok, Dammam, Dubai, Guam, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul Incheon, Singapore and Taipei. "Philippine Airlines will announce additional flight cancellations for the remainder of the stated period when details are confirmed," PAL said. The government said it had relaxed rules it announced last week and now will allow all Filipinos to enter the country.
