Asiana Airlines LCC Air Busan reports US$113.4 million annual loss

Air Busan yesterday reported a net loss of 128.5 billion won (US$113.4 million) for the 12 months to December 31, 2020, a deterioration from a net loss of 72.9 billion won 12 months earlier. The wholly-owned LCC subsidiary of Asiana Airlines said the downturn in air travel demand due to COVID-19 would eventually end as vaccines eased international travel restrictions. The airline said it expected growth to continue in the mid to long term.
