New LCC joining Korea’s crowded skies after launch delayed by pandemic

Based at Cheongju, Aero K initially planned its first flight in 2018, but did not receive approval to launch from South Korean regulators until 2019. The outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic pushed back the start date to next month. "Operation of our first scheduled flight had to be delayed as a result of the obstacle that is COVID-19, but we believe the news about our operation will be a silver lining for the aviation and tourism sector,” Aero K CEO, Mike Kang, told the The Korea Herald.
