Better days ahead for Malaysia Airlines says group’s CEO

Malaysia Airlines Group (MAG) CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, is optimistic about the future of the national carrier as it recovers from the coronavirus pandemic, local media reported. Read More » "After a successful restructuring, and with the national vaccination programme in full swing, we are confident better days lie ahead," Captain Ismail said at the launch of the company's sustainability blueprint earlier this week. "We look forward to an exciting future with strong cooperation with all of you."
MAG’s sustainability blueprint promotes socio-economic development and its goal of achieving zero carbon emissions by 2050. In the more immediate term, the group is targeting a 25 million kg reduction in CO2 emissions this year as well as producing 50% of materials used in flight from biodegradable sources by 2025.
