Hong Kong plans reduced quarantine for travellers from low-risk countries

No date was announced for the relaxation of quarantine regulations. There also were no new rules for the suspension of air routes, which targeted new strains of COVID-19. Specifically, all airlines would be banned from operating from a specific country into the HKSAR if more than five passengers on the same flight tested positive for the N501Y variant of COVID-19. Previously, only the airline operating a flight with more than five positive COVID-19 cases faced suspension.
