Largest of “Big Three” China airlines lags behind northern rivals in passenger growth

Domestic passenger load factor was 76.1% in March, compared with 60.4% in the same month a year ago and 66.1% in February, said CSA's monthly traffic report, published yesterday. The Guangzhou-headquartered carrier’s fleet increased by three aircraft, with two A321neos, an A320neo and a COMAC ARJ21 joining the airline and the withdrawal of an Embraer E190. The SkyTeam alliance member launched 12 major routes in the month.
