IndiGo commits to cargo with leases on four A321P2Fs

India's largest carrier, IndiGo, said overnight it would add four A321P2F (passenger to freighter) aircraft to the fleet for cargo operations. Read More » The airline has signed a Letter of Intent with a lessor for two aircraft, with negotiations for two more expected to conclude shortly. The first A321P2F is planned to be delivered to the carrier in the first half of calendar 2022. The A321P2F can carry up to 27.9 metric tonnes of cargo in a two-deck layout of 14 containers on the main deck and up to 10 containers on the lower deck, figures from Airbus showed. The aircraft has a range of 2,300nm and first entered service with Qantas in October last year.
