Air New Zealand joins IATA Travel Pass trials

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) CEO, Greg Foran, said the airline has trialled the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) travel pass app on today's NZ103 from Auckland to Sydney, his first international flight since joining the airline in February 2020. Read More » The IATA Travel Pass app will be on operated on Air NZ flights between Auckland and Sydney for the next three weeks, allowing passengers to learn which COVID-19 tests and/or vaccines are required before travel and safely share their test and/or vaccination results with airlines and border agencies. Foran, who was looking forward to spending time with friends and family in Australia, said it would be the first trial in a quarantine-free environment. "Our trans-Tasman bubble flights to Sydney have gone incredibly well. We are looking forward to hearing how our customers interact with an app that offers a safer, more secure and contactless experience for travellers."
