Singapore Airlines held largest market share of foreign carriers operating into Australia in February

International air travellers into and out of Australia fell 98.2%, to 51,613 in February from 2.8 million in the same month a year ago. figures from the country's Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport Research Economics (BITRE) showed. Read More » The February figure was 23.5% below 67,472 international passengers in January. Singapore Airlines (SIA) was Australia's largest international carrier by market share in February, at 16.8% or 8,664 passengers. In second place was Qatar Airways (16.2%, or 8,337 passengers), followed by Air New Zealand (13.8%, or 7,143 passengers). Australia's Qantas Group has suspended the bulk of its international network and only operated limited services to New Zealand in February. It has 1.8% market share by passengers carried.
