ANA HOLDINGS INC., the parent company of All Nippon Airways (ANA), has reduced its expected annual net loss due to cost cutting and an update of tax assessments. Read More » The net loss for the 12 months to March 31, 2021 is forecast to be 405 billion yen (US$3.8 billion), ANA HOLDINGS said on Friday. The latest estimate was an improvement of 105 billion yen, or 20.6%, from the previously forecast net loss of 510 billion yen that the company issued in October 2020. ANA HOLDINGS said its financial results, due out on Friday, were expected to exceed the previous forecast "due to thorough cost reductions through reducing variable costs by managing the scale of operations and reducing fixed costs by decreasing the aircraft and selling expenses". The company said it will also benefit from a consideration of deferred tax assets based on the future outlook.
