Airbus confirms commitment to new Toulouse A320 family Final Assembly Line

Airbus said overnight work on an additional A320 family final assembly line (FAL) at its Toulouse headquarters would resume after being put on hold in response to the coronavirus pandemic and the resulting cut in production. Read More » "Now, with market recovery in sight and a potential return to pre-COVID production rates for single-aisle aircraft between 2023 and 2025, Airbus is resuming its activities for the project," the company said in a statement. The new FAL would be operational by the end of 2022 and be a third site for the production of the A321 variant, Airbus said. Currently, A321s were only produced at Hamburg in Germany and Mobile in the United States.
