U.S. DoT issues Vistara with foreign air carrier permit

Vistara has been granted a foreign air carrier permit by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DoT), clearing the way for the joint venture Indian carrier to operate scheduled passenger and cargo flights between India and the U.S., either nonstop or via intermediate points. Vistara, 51% owned by India's TATA Sons and 49% by Singapore Airlines Group, has two 787-9s in its fleet and four on order.
