Malaysia Airlines cutting network by 85% during Malaysia’s latest lockdown

Read More » The flag carrier will continue to operate some domestic and international flights to facilitate essential travel and cargo movements during the two week period. “The recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Malaysia has moved us to prioritise further the safety and health of our passengers and employees," Malaysia Airlines Group CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, said. "With customers being the centre of gravity, we hope the extended travel rebooking flexibility, regardless of the class of fare, will provide them with the certainty and peace of mind that their tickets remain eligible for travel with us." The conditions will allow eligible customers to rebook their flights on or before 30 June, 2022 with travel to be completed by December 31, 2022. Malaysia recorded 7,452 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, World Health Organisation (WHO) figures report, up from an average of 1,000 daily cases at the end of March.
