Cathay Pacific names Ma Chongxian as new non-executive director

Cathay Pacific said in a regulatory filing to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ma Chongxian would join the board as a non-executive director. Read More » Ma, who took his seat on the board today, is Air China new president and an executive director and vice chairman of the Beijing-based carrier. Under a cross shareholding arrangement, Cathay Pacific owns 18.13% of Air China and Air China holds 28.2% of Hong Kong-headquartered Cathay Pacific. Ma will be eligible for election at Cathay's Pacific’s annual general meeting.
