Airbus to support Cathay Pacific and HK Express A320 fleet under new maintenance contract

Airbus said it would maintain the A320 fleets of Cathay Pacific and its LCC, HK Express, under a new multi-year, maintenance-by-the-hour contract signed overnight. Read More » The flight hour services (FHS) contract covers integrated component services, including on-site stock, pool access, and repair services, Airbus said. Cathay Pacific director engineering, Neil Glenn, said the contract added to its existing FHS contract with Airbus that supported the airline's A350 fleet. HK Express CEO, Mandy Ng, added: “We believe this agreement with Airbus to provide component management services on our A320 fleet will help ensure we achieve our operational and reliability targets, allowing us to provide a best-in-class service to our customers.” Airbus head of Asia-Pacific customer services, Bruno Bousquet, said the company had signed 11 FHS contracts in the last six months. At December 31, 2020, Cathay Pacific and HK Express had a combined 48 A320 family aircraft.
