Indonesia grants Super Air Jet its Air Operator Certificate

Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has granted new airline, Super Air Jet, its Air Operator Certificate (AOC). Read More » Novie Riyanto, the Indonesia director general of civil aviation, said Super Air Jet had fulfilled all requirements as an AOC holder, including having a minimum fleet of three aircraft. Recently, Super Air Jet CEO, Ari Azhari, said the airline would operate as an LLC. Unconfirmed media reports suggests Super Air Jet is linked with Indonesia's Lion Air Group, pointing out Azhari had worked at the privately-held company. Lion Air Group carriers are Batik Air, Lion Air and Wings Air in Indonesia, Malindo Air in Malaysia and Thai Lion in Thailand.
