Australia's Rex eyes expansion, signs LoI for two more 737-800s

Australia's Regional Express (Rex) said in a regulatory filing to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) it had signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the leasing of two more 737-800s. Read More » Rex has six 737-800s flying on five domestic routes. "The two additional aircraft will provide Rex with the ability to launch routes to other capital cities, large regional centres and popular leisure destinations," the company said. Rex executive chairman, John Sharp, said the airline was inviting expressions of interest from lessors to acquire two 737-800s by the end of calendar 2021.
