Asiana Airlines raises US$98 million in corporate bond sale

South Korea's Asiana Airlines has raised 110 billion won (US$98 million) through the sale of corporate bonds. Read More » The bonds were sold in three tranches: – bonds with a one-year maturity raised 57 billion won, bonds with an 18-month maturity 23 billion won and bonds with a two-year maturity 30 billion won, Asiana said. The successful bond issuance reflected the market's positive outlook towards its proposed merger with Korean Air as well as expectations of a recovery from COVID-19 and an ongoing strong performance from the air cargo sector, the Star Alliance member said.
