Airport Authority Hong Kong chairman predicts sunny days ahead

Read More » "I believe sunny days are ahead," So said in a letter to shareholders in Airport Authority Hong Kong's annual report. "I am confident that when the pandemic is brought under control, air traffic will rebound as there is huge pent-up demand for air travel. The availability of vaccines is a beacon of hope for the recovery." So said land reclamation work for the airport's third runway was substantially complete with the runway expected to be operating in 2022 and the entire third runway project to be completed by 2024. The airport is strengthening its presence in the Greater Bay Area with the establishment of a logistics park in Dongguan, southern China and is exploring closer collaboration with Zhuhai Airport, So said. "These initiatives will vastly expand our catchment area for cargo and passengers," the chairman said.
