China Southern Airlines announces 19% increase in local demand growth in latest traffic report

China Southern Airlines' (CSA) monthly traffic report showed it carried 8.4 million domestic passengers in June, up 19% from 7.1 million in the prior corresponding period. Read More » However, the June figure was down 28.4% month-on-month from 11.8 million domestic passengers flown by CSA in May 2021. The passenger load factor for June was 76.6%, compared with 79.2% in May 2021 and 69.2% in June 2020. The monthly traffic report said CSA added one Airbus A321neo and one A350-900 to the fleet in June, while one Boeing 737-800 and one Embraer E190 were withdrawn.
