Raytheon Technologies has lifted its 2021 outlook for sales, earnings per share and free cashflow after reporting a net profit of US$1.04 billion for the three months to June 30; returning to the black from a net loss of US3.84 billion in the same months last year. The company said its defence businesses expanded and the commercial aerospace sector recovered.
GE's Aviation unit reported a US$176 million profit for the three months to June 30 compared with a loss of US$687 million in the same months in 2020 after orders rose 47% and revenue increased by 10%.
