Korean Air achieves 10,000 cargo-only flights milestone

On Sunday, Korean Air (KAL) reached a record of 10,000 cargo-only passenger flights after launching the service with a Seoul Incheon-Ho Chi Minh City route in March last year. Read More » The flights, operated with passenger aircraft, carry cargo stored either in cabin overhead bins, using seat bags or in passenger cabins emptied of seats. KAL is operating about 800 cargo-only flights a month on 65 routes. The SkyTeam alliance member said the flights will continue to play a vital role at KAL and noted cargo volumes typically increased in the second half of the calendar year.
