AirAsia Philippines restricts flights to essential travellers

AirAsia Philippines is limiting its domestic flights to frontline health workers, government officials, those travelling for medical reasons and individuals bound for overseas during the country's enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). Read More » The ECQ travel rules will be in place from August 6 to August 20. “AirAsia would like to advise our guests to regularly check our social media pages for updated travel requirements," AirAsia Philippines spokesperson, Steve Dailisan, said. "We will continue to monitor the situation in our various domestic destinations and will update flight schedules regularly as needed."

In other AirAsia Group news, Thai AirAsia has extended suspension of its domestic flights to August 31, or until further announcements from governments and regulatory bodies. The changed schedule began on July 12. It has been extended twice, to July 31 and then August 8.
