DHL Express orders all-electric aircraft for cargo operations

DHL Express has ordered 12 all-electric Alice eCargo aircraft from Eviation. "We firmly believe in a future with zero-emission logistics,” DHL Express CEO, John Pearson, said. DHL Express said the Alice aircraft could be flown by a single pilot and transport 1,200kg of cargo. It had a maximum range of 440nm and could operate in all environments currently serviced by piston and turbine aircraft. Alice is expected to be certified in 2023.
