Greater Bay Airlines outlines initial three routes

Hong Kong-based start-up, Greater Bay Airlines (GBA), has named Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Phuket and Singapore as its first three destinations when it begins flying, the company's website states. Read More » "We aim to operate to Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket from the fourth quarter of 2021 subject to regulatory approval and the pandemic situation," the website said. GBA has applied for regulatory approval to serve 104 destinations in China, North Asia, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. The LCC's first aircraft painted in the airline's livery, a 737-800, recently broke cover at Guangzhou. Director Stanley Hui said recently GBA aimed to begin operations on October 1 with charter flights from Hong Kong to Beijing. The airline plans to launch operations with three 737-800s with the fleet to grow to 10 next year and exceed 30 aircraft by 2026.
