Singapore Airlines senior executive appointed IATA's Asia-Pacific chief

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has named Philip Goh as its regional vice president for the Asia-Pacific. Read More » Before joining IATA, Goh was Singapore Airlines (SIA) regional vice president for South West Pacific. He also has held several senior management roles at SIA and at U.K.-based Virgin Atlantic Airways. Goh said one of his most immediate priorities was to engage with governments to safely reopen borders. “I am deeply passionate about the aviation industry and have been associated with its growth and development throughout my professional life," Goh said. "I am humbled to be leading the IATA Asia-Pacific team at the most challenging time in our industry’s history." IATA has 45 member airlines across 37 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific. Goh, who will be based in Singapore, succeeds Conrad Clifford, who is now based in Geneva as the airline lobby group's deputy director general.
