Jetstar Asia and Qatar Airways renew cooperation at Changi Airport

Singapore’s Jetstar Asia and Gulf carrier, Qatar Airways, have re-established their interline connection at Changi Airport to allow passengers from Doha single-ticket travel to 10 destinations. Read More » Connecting passengers will be offered through checked baggage service and onboard meals and refreshments on Jetstar Asia’s Southeast Asian network. Destinations are Bangkok, Clark, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Penang, Phnom Penh, Phuket and Surabaya. “As we continue to ramp up our operations, it is great to offer our expanding network to more customers looking to travel in Southeast Asia,” Jetstar Asia head of commercial and alliances, Ashmore Butler, said. “As a leading global hub, Changi’s world-class facilities make Singapore a leading choice for customers looking to connect between the global network of Qatar Airways and key cities in Southeast Asia.”
Qatar Airways Group has announced its annual net loss doubled to US$4.1 billion for the 2021 financial year. However, the loss included a $2.3 billion one-time impairment due to the grounding of the company's A380 and A330 fleets. The group’s operating loss of $288.3 million was 7% less than the previous year. Qatar Airways has continued to operate throughout the pandemic and even expanded its network in markets such as Brazil, Canada, Nigeria and the U.S.
