AFG Aviation Ireland, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aircraft Finance Germany GmbH, has completed the acquisition of two B747-8F freighters from Saudi Arabian Airlines. The aircraft are destined for AFG strategic partner, Hongyuan Group, the official warehousing and storage services provider for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. VietJet and insurance brokers, Gallagher and Willis Towers Watson, have signed a reinsurance certificate worth US$20 million that covers the Vietnamese carrier’s entire fleet of aircraft registered in Vietnam and abroad.
