Qantas Airways relaunches international flights from the world’s most locked down city

Read More » Flight QF35 headed to Singapore shortly before noon under the newly introduced two-way travel bubble involving the southern state and neighbouring New South Wales. The travel bubble allows fully vaccinated Singaporean citizens to enter NSW or Victoria without quarantining. The first arrivals under the new regime landed in Sydney on Sunday. The new Qantas-Delhi route is due to start on December 22 and will be the first time Qantas has flown between Melbourne and the Indian capital. The service will operate four times a week throughout the year with flights to Delhi initially operating through Adelaide while Delhi-Melbourne flights are nonstop. “While the past 20 months has undoubtedly been the most challenging in the history of Qantas, as we emerge from the crisis we are taking new opportunities to broaden our network in response to unprecedented pent-up travel demand,’’ Qantas Group CEO, Alan Joyce, said. “This is helping us bring more Qantas employees back to work.” Qantas will re-launch Melbourne-London on November 27 and Melbourne-Los Angeles from December 19.
