Hong Kong visit by Chinese health officials another sign of easing Mainland border restrictions

Read More » The South China Morning Post reported the officials were expected to visit departments and facilities involved in Hong Kong’s pandemic measures and attend meetings with local officials. Hong Kong has tightened COVID procedures in a bid to get quarantine-free travel between the Special Administrative Region and the Mainland flowing again. The Post is tipping Hong Kong residents will be able to enter China from early December as part of a progressive easing of bans that will begin with a few hundred border crossings a day. Hong Kong chief secretary, John Lee Ka-chiu, said the tour was an important follow-up from two rounds of talks held in September and earlier this month, the newspaper reported.
