China Airlines introduces new wireless entertainment on 737s

Taiwan-based China Airlines (CAL) is trialling a wireless inflight entertainment system it plans to launch on its 737-800 fleet in 2022. Read More » The Fantasy Sky Wireless Entertainment system will connect passengers’ smart devices to a wide range of multimedia streaming services after the aircraft has reached 10,000 ft. CAL said it is first airline in Taiwan to introduce the technology. Content will include free video-on-demand services for Hollywood blockbusters, selected Japanese and Korean films and popular music selections. Passengers will be able to browse inflight publications such as CAL’s inflight Dynasty magazine and Sky Boutique Duty Free shopping and check flight and other information.
