Fiji Airways has increased its baggage allowance, added new inflight entertainment options and has started offering passengers the option of purchasing an entire row in economy class as it again brings international tourists to its island home. Read More » The Oceania-based carrier has resumed flying after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the first tourists from Australia and the U.S, touching down in Fiji for the first time in 20 months in the past week. "We have been working hard since March last year to prepare for this moment and ensure our guests have the safest and most enjoyable travel experience possible," Fiji Airways CEO, Andre Viljoen, said in a statement. "A key part of our Travel Ready programme is having medically qualified Customer Wellness Champions for medical guidance and assistance on board every international flight, making us the only airline in Australasia-Pacific to do so."
