All Nippon Airways posts highest domestic traffic numbers since March 2020

Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) flew 1.41 million passengers on its domestic services in October, a 49.3% month-on-month increase from the 945,228 transported in September. Read More » It also was the highest number of domestic passengers flown since the start of the pandemic, eclipsing the 1.40 million carried in March 2020. Despite the encouraging month-on-month improvement, the October figure was 3.7% below the 1.46 million domestic passengers ANA carried in the same month in 2020. When compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the October 2021 figure was 60.1% below the 3.5 million domestic passengers the Star Alliance member flew in October 2019. ANA's monthly traffic report showed the passenger load factor in October 2021 was 53.5%, compared with 37.2% in September and 41.4% in October 2020.
