Japan Airlines domestic passengers top two million in November

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew more than two million passengers on its domestic network in November, preliminary figures published yesterday have revealed. Read More » It was the first time the oneworld alliance member has carried above two million domestic passengers in a calendar month since February 2020. The November figure also was 27% higher than the 1.6 million domestic passengers flown in October. In a separate statement, JAL said demand for domestic flights was gradually recovering, but had yet to re-start on some routes. Domestic capacity, or available seat kilometres (ASKs), rose 16.8% month-on-month in November. Compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, JAL's domestic ASKs for the reported 30 days reached 77% of two years ago.
