Hong Kong’s airport reports 120,000 passengers for November

Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) had 120,000 passengers pass through its terminals in November, down 12.4% month-on-month from 137,000 passengers in October. Read More » The November figure also was 97.6% lower than the pre-COVID-19 total of 5.03 million passengers in November 2019. Passenger traffic remained at much lower levels compared with pre-pandemic numbers, but Airport Authority Hong Kong said outbound transfer passengers from China to North America recorded significant increases in the month. It was a more positive picture on the cargo front, with HKIA recording cargo throughput of 478,000 tonnes in November, up 3.5% from October and 10.1% above the 434,000 tonnes carried in the same month in 2020.
