Singapore Airlines announces US$600 million bond issuance

Singapore Airlines (SIA) has said in a regulatory filing to the Singapore Exchange (SGX) it would raise US$600 million in fresh capital through the sale of eight-year notes with an annual interest rate of 3.375%, payable twice a year. Read More » The company said the net proceeds would be used for "aircraft purchases and aircraft related payments and general corporate or working capital purposes, including refinancing of existing borrowings". Citigroup Global Markets Singapore Pte Ltd and DBS Bank Ltd were the joint global coordinators, while Citigroup, DBS, Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited and BNP Paribas were the joint lead managers, the airline said.
