Jakarta Halim Airport temporarily closing

Airlines and ground operators have begun to shift their operations out of Jakarta Halim Airport ahead of the airport's temporary closure from January 26. Read More » PT Angkasa Pura II, the manager of Jakarta Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, said users of the airport will be relocated to five other airports – Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Bandung Husein Sastranegara Airport, Majalengka Kertajati Airport, Jakarta Pondok Cabe Airport, and Tangerang Budiarto Airport. "There are a total of 21 flight operators: two scheduled commercial airlines, 17 non-scheduled commercial airlines and two cargo airlines. They operate a fleet of 67 aircraft, plus 12 military aircraft that will move operations from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the receiving airport," PT Angkasa Pura II president director, Muhammad Awaluddin, said. The temporary closure was outlined by the Ministry of Transportation and the Indonesian Air Force as part of the Indonesia Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2022.
