Australia’s Alliance Aviation posts US$2.4 million interim loss

Read More » The company reported a net loss of A$3.4 million (US$2.4 million) for the six months to December 31, from a net profit of A$23.4 million in the same months in 2020. Revenue rose 11%, to A$170.1 million, Alliance said in a regulatory filing to the Australian Securities Exchange. The domestic carrier booked operating costs of A$25.2 million in the half for recruitment, personnel, training, financing and regulatory infrastructure related to its E190 fleet. Managing director, Scott McMillan, said COVID-19 had delayed the company's wet lease flying activity, but that he maintained a "very confident outlook", with "significant additional flying" to commence in April.
