Japan Airlines: flying non-stop to Boston with its new B787s

The JAL B787 has 42 seats in business and 144 economy seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. At the arrival ceremony in Boston officials said more than 400,000 passengers a year travel from Boston to Tokyo, either ending their trip in the Japanese capital or travelling on to China or Southeast Asia.

“By deploying the 787 Dreamliner on long-haul routes to markets that can garner substantial travel demand such as Boston, JAL is making best use of the aircraft’s long-range capability, appropriate capacity and economic performance,” said JAL president, Yoshiharu Ueki.
