Virgin Australia, which received Australian competition authority approval to establish a corporate alliance with Perth-based Skywest Airlines, has invested US$8 million in the West Australian carrier. Read More »

A Virgin Australia spokesman said the two airlines had expanded their regional services since the partnership was launched last year using four new ATRs. By the end of 2012, there will be 12 ATRs in the Virgin Australia fleet.
