India extends international flight suspensions to “an unspecified date”

India has delayed the resumption of scheduled international passenger flights, the country's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced. Read More » The suspension of commercial passenger services was to expire last Monday. The DGCA said it had extended the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services to and from India "till further orders". The restrictions do not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the DGCA. Scheduled international flights to and from India have been suspended since March 2020, but air travel bubble flights, allowed under the country's Vande Bharat scheme, have been operating.
