Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has recorded a net loss of 766.4 million ringgit (US$182.8 million) for the 12 months to December 31, an improvement from a 1.1 billion ringgit net loss in the same months in 2020. Read More » Revenue declined 10.4%, to 1.7 billion ringgit, MAHB said in a regulatory filing to the Bursa Malaysia. Despite the annual revenue decline, MAHB said turnover of 551.3 million ringgit for the final three months of 2021 was more than double the 263.6 million ringgit recorded in the corresponding 2020 quarter. The significant increase in passenger volume was the result of restrictions being eased and travel picking up. "Despite the ongoing uncertainties due to the emergence of new Variants of Concern (VoC), MAHB is cautiously optimistic in forecasting a gradual traffic recovery in 2022," MAHB said in its financial accounts.
